The world’s first ever Empathy Museum has opened its empathetic doors in London! The museum is dedicated to developing the skill of empathising and creating a global revolution of human relationships.
The first (very novel) exhibit is called “A Mile in My Shoes” and is an audio portrait of Wandsworth (they interviewed 100+ people who live in the borough) housed in a theatrical shoe shop where visitors literally walk in the shoes of a stranger while listening to their story.
The concept is an extension of Roman Krznaric’s work and is being launched as part of the Totally Thames festival. The exhibit is on from 4 to 27 September at the Riverside Gardens, Nine Elms Lane, Wednesday to Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
Check it out for something truly unique and help fund the giant shoe box which will bring the exhibit round the world on indiegogo!
