Mr Smith’s Corner

Our resident contributor, father of four and high-flying partner, Mr Smith, gives us his thoughts for the week…

Shoe lace tying lessons update week 11…. Breakthrough!!! Wow I actually thought it would never happen – the twins have finally cracked their shoe laces. The sense of achievement is immense, and that’s just the parents. Intense training this week paid off, I haven’t worked that hard since securing my C at GCSE French in 1992!

Colds in August! Not quite sure how I manage it but managed to pick up a cold in the middle of the summer. There’s nothing quite like a mix of Lemsip and sun cream. I can confirm it’s not all the cold beers that are the cause – sensible hydration is key – it’s the superbugs in the office air con!

Lesson learnt:

August bank holiday is nearly here so the BBQ is getting an outing. I have been doing a bit of research on how to nail it this year as the new neighbours are coming round. It seems themed BBQs are the way forward with a signature drink. I suspect that doesn’t include a fancy dress theme…I probably won’t ask for confirmation on that!
