This week I will be:
- visiting Cutter & Squidge‘s new permanent (yes, permanent!) store at 20 Brewer Street in Soho. Not only does the new store offer more space and seating in Emily and Annabel’s inimitable relaxed and welcoming style, it also allows full visibility of the incredible biskie and cake selection which you can enjoy upstairs or downstairs in the lovely Secret Garden. We can’t wait to get back there to try the peanut banana caramel cake (see pic #foodporn) and to grab a matcha sundae (never too cold for one of those!).
- watching movies at the new Everyman cinema at Crossrail Place in Canary Wharf. The wharf can be pretty empty at the weekend, which makes it the perfect, uncrowded venue for dinner (try Chai Ki for an Indian toddy shop experience or Sticks’n’Sushi for erm sushi) and a movie. There is no faulting the warm and cosy double sofas at the Everyman – great for snuggling now that winter is upon us!
- checking out boutique high end gym, the Core Collective. Having been spoilt by the great facilities at 1Rebel (it’s not just a workout, it’s an experience!), the Core Collective takes it up a notch with showers worthy of a spa and studios to match. Like 1Rebel they also have their own fresh press juice bar, CPress, which caters for the tall and toned inhabitants of Chelsea and Kensington where the gym is based. The Core Collective offer five types of workouts including interval training (Velocity), Spin (Accelerate), Power Yoga and TRX training (Resistance) and are endorsed by the cast of MIC and Piers Morgan alike. Check out the twitter feed to see what you’re getting yourself into (it’s tough!).
