Japanese genius, the Dog’s Bollocks, Awarding comment, Tori’s breakthrough

This Week

This week I will be…

  • Requesting a Kotatsu for Christmas. Now that the cold is truly settling in, there has been a flurry of media attention given to this Japanese invention which consists of a giant duvet complete with its own coffeetable and toasty heating device. You will never need to leave the house ever again! (unless your Kindle runs out of battery, or your onesie catches fire). Image is courtesy of Belle Maison.
  • Paying homage to Paris (my home away from home for 2 years) by booking into Michelin starred restaurant Arbutus’ brand new bar, Les Couilles du Chien (literally translated, The Dogs’ Bollocks). Try the Red Devil cocktail before feasting on crisp lamb testicles and tripe (appropriately named A Load of Bollocks). Yum!
  • Attending the Editorial Intelligence Comment Awards on 24 November 2015. I am very excited about attending the Awards after all the preparation, deliberation (the official photographer unfortunately caught me in a real moment of ‘deliberation’ during judging day) and anticipation. Check out the very talented shortlist here.
  • Listening to the very beautiful and very talented Tori Kelly‘s new album Unbreakable Smile. This girl has been working very hard on YouTube for some time. She has some serious pipes and has just been nominated for the People’s Choice Awards Favourite Breakout Artist 2016 and won Billboard’s Breakthrough Artist of 2015! Here’s the video that made me a fan…
