Women In The World

Through the (corporate) grapevine

The Women in The World Summit is an influential and uniquely theatrical two-day showcase for women of impact – and for the men who champion them. The Summit brings together incredible women on the front lines of change – activists, CEOs, peacemakers and entrepreneurs, and is presented in association with The New York Times.

Day 1 sees Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan and Sarah Gavron interviewed by Historian Simon Schama on their powerful new film Suffragette.  Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and Dr Ursula von der Leyen, the first ever female German Federal Minister of Defense will also be interviewed.  Tickets for Day 1 (8th October) cost £150.

Nobel Peace Laureate, Leymah Gbowee, actress Kim Cattrall and first ever female First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, are interviewed on Day 2 together with Mhairi Black, the youngest MP to be elected to the House of Commons, and a host of other brave and inspiring women.
